Nautical Sisters
My sister has been planning this all day sister event ever since I finally had time to complete these pants by Butterick for her. They were definitely quick to make, but juggling obligations for grad school, work, and just life itself; I kept putting them aside. No alterations were done since I didn’t have her exact measurements except knowing her general RTW size. However, I did add a red drawstring in addition to the elastic waist to have that POP of color.

This nautical print I chose for my DIY pants was too cute to pass up in JoAnn’s. I bought these two prints plus a wonderful green cotton eyelet and this blue + white striped sweater knit.
JoAnn's Latest Spring Collection
My pants by Butterick 5859, (now OOP), were altered to accommodate my height and I added 2” to the side seam for a looser fit. Be on the lookout for these pants again because I found my favorite pattern.
