
Most of the time when I’m shopping for fabric, I tend to gravitate more towards pink and orange colors. On this particular day I was randomly shopping for fabric with no specific pattern in mind, and I ran across this gorgeous royal blue crushed crepe de chine. Sewing knits are my favorite, but everyone’s closet needs variations, right? This crepe de Chine I picked up works well for blousey, fluid moving, dresses and tops.
I decided to go with OOP Vogue 8827. The extended front draped collar was the reason for selecting this dress.
Minor changes included:
-elastic sleeve at wrist
-pleat at yolk, instead of gathers
-Top stitch front self-facing instead of blind stitch
-Removed 3” from bottom he
